Karma Waters

As a family social enterprise, Karma Waters provides NPO organic vegan restaurants and tours to support the locals and organize charity work. It is run by a professional vegan chef, who switched into veganism after her special fish-incident. You can read more about Ms. Grace’s interesting story on the restaurant website, but let’s now take a look at what they offer!

Karma Waters has one vegan restaurant in Hoi An and one in Da Nang. Their servings are organic, most popularly known for Vietnamese and Indian cuisines. Their space in Hoi An does not look so fancy, but serves as a nice, clean and neat spot for spending a meal with your group of friends.

There are two vegan cooking classes, the lunch class starts at 10 AM and dinner starts at 4 PM. You can register to go alone or with a group (with a better price) with a maximum of four people.

More interestingly, you can look at their charity programs, which take place daily in Da Nang and Hoi An cities. To briefly summarize, they organize low-price meals every day for the disadvantaged, free vegan meals for patients, and they also support the ethnic minorities in Quang Nam province. Several words cannot encompass what they do for these communities. If you want to know more about these socially-responsible activities, don’t hesitate to contact them!

Apart from these amazing vegan restaurants, you can always stop by a street food vendor if you see the word “Chay” on their stall. If you are a vegan, you need to tell them “koh ahn trehng va suah” (meaning you don’t use eggs and milk).
